No More Trash

Here's a still life of items gathered from around streets and alleys on April 23, the Great PA Clean-up Day.

The state DEP provided the vests, gloves and bags.

"Straws from fast food," said Joanne, citing the item she had found the most of. All agreed that fast food containers were the most common discarded items, followed by plastic beverage bottles.

"We just hope that people notice the streets are a little cleaner now," Peg said when nearly done.

Above, Peg Bowman finishes up the alcove next to Izzy Miller Furniture; Joanne Letcher takes a break to stand up after cleaning up a section of East Main Street; Joanne heads up Mary Street toward Library Avenue.
